The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a time to rest from work, worship, and gather with family. During this time, only unleavened bread, or matzo, is eaten, and all leaven is prohibited. But mainly we focus on removing all leaven(sin) from our hearts. The first and last days of the festival are considered holy days.
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. - 1 corinthians 5:7
